Gujarat polls are scheduled for mid-December, and the media is in an emphatic mood as they expect their viewership to sore considering how fascinating Gujarat polls always are.
When the center of attraction is Narendra Modi – as he almost always is – rumours fly thick and fast. Opposition parties and media people who’re against him indulge in rumour-mongering as they find it very tough to counter him on the basis of development and on-ground facts.
It is of no surprise that this has begun, at least on Twitter, with a media handle and an AAP leader misleading people. First, let’s see how these two handles peddled lies –
This person contributes to the news portal newslaundry.com and yet without any two thoughts he links the meeting of Prime Minister Modi with a delegation from the Ajmer Sharif Dargah (shrine) in Rajasthan that was held in May 2016 to the Gujarat polls.
In the video, Prime Minister Modi is seen meeting Sayed Fakhar Kazmi Chisty who ties a pagri (headgear) for the prime minister and presents him with mementos including what appears to be a religious text.
The Gujarat polls are scheduled for December 2017, and this video is from May 2016. Apparently, this moron thinks thatthe Prime Minister indulged in ‘appeasement’ 19 months before the polls, at a time when no one even knew when the polls would be conducted! If you go through this handle’s timeline, you’ll see it filled with vile baseless hatred against Prime Minister Modi. He even endorses tweets from the likes of Sanjiv Bhatt which goes quite a long way in exposing his allegiance.
As usual, Aam Aadmi Party leaders are never behind in indulging in communal politics and spreading rumours for electoral benefits.
This guy is another worthless politician who doesn’t hold any sway on ground amongst the common man and exclusively resorts to immoral methods to gain some traction.
The fact of the video is that the meeting took place on2 May 2016 and was not a secret meeting which is evident from the fact that Prime Minister Modi and the PIB tweeted about it.
These handles think Twitter encompasses the world, that the views expressed on social media are the views on ground, and by fooling people they can attract some votes. But just like in the past, such propaganda will be quashed by the people of Gujarat.
