People roaming around with swords and other sharp metallic weapons in hands. That's the scene of Labhpur Block office in Birbhum on Tuesday morning. TMC District Chairman of Birbhum, Anubrata Mondal had said earlier that whoever will go to submit nominations for the Panchayat election will find ''development" awaiting for them. By this ''development'' he actually meant miscreants of TMC, this is what oppositions are saying. Although TMC have denied of the allegation. Seeing this so called "development" no opponent will dare to submit nominations for the 167 Gram Panchayat's seat, as said by TMC Chairman Anubrata Mondal.
Though on Monday TMC members were seen standing with sticks in hand in front of the block office of Rampurhat and of several other districts as well. Opposition parties claimed that to frighten their candidates this people on Tuesday were riding bikes holding swords near Labhpur Block office. According to the oppositions democracy have become blunt, TMC is avoiding competition in fear of losing. Although Keshta Mondal of TMC has rejected this claim saying because of Kanyashree, Yuvashree and Sikshashree's popularity, oppositions haven't find any candidates on their behalf that's why they are making excuses. According to Keshta Mondal this time TMC is going to win several seats in Birbhum easily due to lack of competitors.
