Own correspondents: - Aircraft leaps to the left. The auto-pilot is not working. Trying hard to land at Hubli Airport. Congress member Rahul Gandhi was one of the passengers on this small Falcon jet plane on Thursday morning. Of course, Rahul has reached Karnataka from Delhi safely. But after coming to of this serious mechanical outburst of the aircraft, it has created a buzz in the country. Congress has demanded investigation on whether this disorder is 'planned' or not. Rahul Gandhi directly states this to be a planned plot. After this incident Modi has contacted with Rahul Gandhi.
The plane landed at Hubli after three attempts on Thursday. In plane there were the Rahul Gandhi accompanied by five others. DGCA said that the pilot had landed safe in 'manual' mode due to problems in the auto-pilot system. Such incidents are not 'unusual'. But this doesn't satisfied Congress. Party spokesman Ranadip Sarejewala said, "Before travelling of any person with the security of SPG, the details of the pilot and the aircraft is always submitted to the DGCA and the SPG. The flight is finalised if they issue clearance. We hope, the Karnataka Police and DGs of DCCI will investigate whether there was any person involved in this incident".
Rahul Gandhi left for Hubli at 9.20 am on Thursday for the voting campaign of the state assembly. The weather was good. The plane started creating problems around 10.45am in the morning. Sarjewala said, after making a loud sound, the auto pilot stopped working and Rahul's plane was falling downward. It was deleted from the radar for 2-3 minutes. Rahul's associate Koushal Vidyarthi on a written complaint to Karnataka DG and IG stated that no explanation has been given on, due to which technical outbreak this incident happened. Koushal said, "Everyone got panicked. But Rahul still retained patience and remained beside the pilot so that the situation can be controlled well". According to a Congress leader,"Earlier in a simillar incident a member of the Gandhi family had died. It should be properly investigated whether Rahul has any threat of life". Some BJP leaders in the house is saying that it is necessary to think over whether the issue is given political colors.
