Own correspondent: - When the nation has stood up to eradicate the abusive crimes like rape, the Center is thinking over this matter, revising its laws. The Minister of state Santosh Gangwar on Sunday told the media that the incidents of raping children are really unfortunate, sometimes such incidents can not be controlled and there is nothing to create any brouhaha over it. He said,"In a vast country like ours, if one or two incidents take place, any brouhaha should not be created over it. This is not fair... Government is taking effective steps...Whatever is necessary will be done"
When almost everyday a case of rape and brutal torture is coming up is it possible to over look the matter and stay silent!
The Government have promulgated an ordinance to provide stringent punishment, including death penalty, for those convicted of rape of girls under 12 years.
