Her demise was not just shocking but a scary development which displayed the dark side of Bollywood. She who went to attend a wedding in Dubai returned dead. But what was very surprising is the way she is said to have died. According to reports of Dubai police and doctors, she died by accidental drowning in a bathtub which they called it natural. What they did not realise is, how can a person of over 5.6 feet drown in a bathtub and die!
The whole case was based on the story that she was high on alcohol and lost balance in the bathroom which caused the incident. However, the entire story did not convince anyone as Sridevi was not alcoholic and she never consumed hot drinks. The doubts on her death was first expressed by Dr Subramaian Swamy who was also the person who exposed the death mystery of Sunanda Pushkar. Dr Swamy who does not speak unless he has evidence to claim had said that this may be a planned murder which involved powerful people.
But media and police were not ready to debate the actual truth may be due to pressure from powerful leaders. The apex court too was not ready to investigate the case which only helped those who wanted to bury the entire issue. But just few days back, the Sridevi’s death mystery took a twist when it was revealed that she had made an insurance of Rs 250 crores for her Husband through an Oman company. But this insurance policy had a very strange clause saying that the amount would be given to the family only if Sridevi dies in UAE. This unusual clause was something which again racked up the debate of Sridevi’s death.
But now, former ACP of Delhi Police Ved Bhushan has made startling claims that Sridevi’s death was not natural and Dawood Ibrahim may have played a role in her killings. He said that the Sridevi’s death looked like a planned murder.
Bushan said that he had visited the Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai to probe the incident, and found that Dawood has a stronghold in the United Arab Emirates’ city and shares a close relationship with the Dubai prince’s family. This could’ve stopped the Dubai Police from further investigating the matter adding that not even the hotel staff is ready to cooperate with the probe on Sridevi’s death.
Bushan who runs a private investigative agency, said he along with his investigation team also visited a hotel in Dubai, owned by Dawood, and stayed there for a night. when he and his investigating team members requested the Dubai Police to handover Sridevi’s blood samples, information about how much amount of water was found in her lungs and other information associated with the incident, they denied them access. He said, in the name of documents, they just gave him a copy of Sridevi’s post-mortem report. International Business Times
He said that the Dubai police did not investigate the case properly due to political pressure and failed to even examine the CCTV footage. But Bushan says now he has collected more evidence which suggests that Sridevi’s death was not accidental or natural but a planned murder.
Bushan also said “Delhi Police is investigating Sunanda Pushkar’s murder case for the past four years and so far, the report of this case is yet to come out. On the other hand, Dubai Police gave a final report within 3-4 days that Sridevi’s death was an accidental drowning. This creates a great suspicion in itself, We have lot of evidence and will produce to the court at the right time.” (Zee News)
He is now planning to file an appeal in the Supreme Court on this investigation so that the death of Sridevi can be re-examined. This is exactly what Dr Swamy had said 3 months back about Sridevi’s death. Now slowly one by one are coming out to speak truth. It is only time that her death investigation in reopened and the real mystery is revealed to the public.
