Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Ali Abbas Zafar tasted the sweet success of their collaboration in 2017 with Tiger Zinda Hai which broke the shackles of the box office dud, last year. Now, the trio reunites yet again, thanks to their next titled Bharat.
While rumours were rife about who would replace the original casting of Priyanka Chopra, Ali confirmed with Mumbai Mirror that it was indeed Katrina who will fill the shoes of Chopra's character instead. "I am extremely excited to work with Katrina and Salman again. We have had exciting collaborations in the past. Katrina got on board in the Nick of time for this project," Ali shared with MM.

Meanwhile, Priyanka's walkout from the film so abruptly sparked various engagement to Nick Jonas speculations which were further intensified when Ali tweeted, "Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special, she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her ... Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life."
Katrina will commence shooting for Bharat from September onwards as she is completing her pending work commitments as of now. Salman began shooting for Bharat, two weeks ago and first shot for a circus sequence.
Bharat is inspired by the Korean film, Ode to My Father (2014) and also stars Jackie Shroff, Tabu, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Nora Fatehi in pivotal roles.
Bharat is slated for an Eid 2019 release.
