Yes, Rahul Gandhi’s hug in Parliament was totally uncalled for and unexpected which raised many people’s eyebrows. Although many thought it was sign of good gesture, the cunning wink of Rahul Gandhi revealed that it was all a mere gimmick for the cameras.
When few of the paid media was busy discussing the hug and wink of Rahul Gandhi calling it a masterstroke, the whole world was laughing at Rahul’s childish behavior. However Dr Subramanian Swamy who is well known for his out of box thinking, expressed apprehensions over Rahul Gandhi’s hug to PM Modi. Just a day after the Parliament drama, Dr Swamy tweeted with great concern saying that PM Modi should not have let Rahul Gandhi hug him and he should immediately go for a medical check up to check if he was poisoned through a microscopic puncture.
In his tweet he said, the same technique is used by Russians and North Koreans to stick a poisoned needle. He said Prime Minister should get himself checked for any microscopic puncture just like how Sunanda Pushkar had on her hand.
This tweet of Dr Swamy was a shocker to everyone on social media as nobody ever thought of this angle. Given the history of India, it is well known that many popular leaders were poisoned and killed for power and position. Narendra Modi who has severe life threat should not take things lightly, as in politics we never know from where the danger would come. Just a month back, the NIA and Maharashtra police had arrested 5 Maoists supporters who had planned to assassinate Narendra Modi. So, given the threat he faces, he should be more cautious.
The Prime Minister who is under SPG cover is generally kept away from public and people are not suppose to meet him or even shake hands without permission. Be it any leader or any person from opposition, they are advised to keep distance from the Prime Minister which is a strict protocol that is followed by SPG. But Rahul Gandhi’s sudden and forceful hug was definitely not well received by many.
Dr Swamy lambasted Rahul Gandhi for displaying his childish behavior and called it unethical. He advised PM Modi not to encourage such acts and make sure it doesn’t repeat again.
