Please contact Bollywood director Rajkumar Hirani if you want to whitewash your past sins. Like how there are sponsored “contents” in websites and televisions to enhance your image, Bollywood provides a special service of portraying “habitual lawbreakers” as a hero. The recently released movie Sanju is quintessential on how to carve a hero out of a man who had 308 girlfriends and who frequently slept with prostitutes.
After watching the film Sanju, one will be compelled to appreciate the hardships Sanjay Dutt had gone through his life. After the film, one will be forced to agree that Sanjay Dutt never consumed drugs on his own but was forced to consume due to external pressure.
One will also feel pity for the innocent man who had 308 girlfriends and consumed drugs and slept with prostitutes regularly and had even hid illegal weapons at his home. In the year 2007 Sanjay Dutt was sentenced to six years of imprisonment but in March 2013 it was reduced to 5 years.
But actor Sanjay Dutt was so innocent and obeyed the verdict by the court so seriously that he was never seen in jail, instead came out on parole and did films just to increase his balance so that he can pay income tax and contribute to the nation’s development.
There are a lot of things hidden from the Indians by the director of ‘Sanju’. They have hidden how Sanjay Dutt would have ended up the lives of several Indians. The film also hid from the Indians how the innocent Sanjay Dutt innocently helped the terrorists of 1993 Mumbai Blast.
Innocent Sanjay Dutt and his links with terrorism, especially Dawood’s gang!
In the 1993 Mumbai blasts, the terrorists had blasted 12 bombs and had taken away the lives of 257 and injured 713 people. Soon after the investigation was intensified, the investigation team had picked-up the innocent Sanjay Dutt for (illegally) possessing arms.
But the film ‘Sanju’ doesn’t even mention that these arms were supplied by Dawood Ibrahim’s team from Pakistan. The terrorists knew that once the blasts take place, there will erupt a communal violence. That’s why they had planned to store guns in several locations so that they can use it after the communal clash breaks out.
The reality is that the gun was supplied by Dawood Ibrahim’s brother Anees Ibrahim from Pakistan. Even the CBI had stressed on this and to further strengthen this claim, the co-convict and the film producer Sameer Hingora revealed that Sanjay Dutt was talking with Anees over the phone. Hingora also stated that it was Anees who said that arms were to be sent to the actor’s house.
The film also advocates that Sanjay Dutt and his father weren’t provided adequate security in the 90s but the statement made by a police officer punctures the claim of the film director. The police officer stated “The Mumbai Police had provided some guards for Sunil and Sanjay Dutt in light of the 1992-93 riots, and the garage was in direct line of sight from where they were stationed. Dutt asked them to move over to another gate, after which the cavity in the vehicle was opened and the arsenal extracted”.
So the officer has revealed that even though the innocent actor was under police security, he succeeded in unloading the arms in his garage. What must also be focused on is if Sanjay Dutt indeed had kept his weapons for his safety, then why did he destroy it later on?
Yusuf Nulwalla, Kersi Adejania and Rusi Mulla were the men who destroyed the weapon for Sanjay Dutt, and all these were a part of 1993 Mumbai blasts. But all these were punished for doing so. Hence proved that innocent Sanjay Dutt took a weapon from deadly gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s brother just to protect himself from threats.
Actor Sanjay Dutt who was arrested under Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA) suffers what not in jail. He was made naked in the police station, slapped several times; when in jail his room even gets filled with fecal matters.
So the director of “Sanju” film, do you think we should believe all that you have shown? A man who made his Bollywood debut in 1981 is stripped naked in jail? Sanjay Dutt’s father was a Congress leader and was even in a cabinet minister in Manmohan Singh’s government. So we all know how the kids of VVIP politicians are treated in India. Still let us believe that the innocent Dutt who took AK-56, a Pistol and hand grenades from Dawood’s gang is still a innocent.
In the film, Sanjay Dutt reveals that he took drugs for the first time as he was angry with his father, for the second time he took it as his mother was sick. Hence proved that innocent Sanjay Dutt became a drug addict because of others. But this he has motivated youths to take drugs if they are angry with their parents. Truly an inspiring film.
In the film when Anushka Sharma asks, with how many girls have you slept, the innocent Sanjay Dutt who became a drug addict because of others responds saying “308 tak yaad hai, chalo aap safety ke liye 350 likh do”.
Anushka Sharma laughs at his replies. But the feminists who watched this film found it cool as the man who slept with 308 women was Sanjay Dutt and not any other pervert whom we see in crime stories in news channels. So chalega. But don’t forget that still, Sanjay Dutt is a man who respects women.
The portrayal of Sanjay Dutt’s father Sunil Dutt is also misleading. He is portrayed in such a way that he sacrificed everything just to bring his son to the right path. But in reality, actor and Congress leader Sunil Dutt just saved his culprit son from spending his rest of the life in jail, using his power. If he was really a noble person, he should have had confessed that his son had indeed committed a crime.
