Apple-1 |
American tech company Apple's first computer 'Apple-1' has been auctioned on Tuesday. In RR Auction held in Massachusetts Boston. Apple-1 was bought by an American businessman
for $ 3,75,00 (more than 2 million 72 million). The company had kept its base price 3 million dollars (about 2 million rupees). However, the identity of the buyer has not yet been revealed.
Apple-1 was designed by Apple's co-founder Steve Wozniak, and for this reason this computer is also known as Woz. This computer was built in 1976 and at that time it was worth $ 666.66, which is 46,000 rupees today.
It's been 40 years since Apple-1 was built, but still it is working just like it used to do in 1976. Prior to the auction, Apple Expert Core Cohen had said, "The computer is still working and so far all the parts are original." He said that during the testing, this computer was seen to last for 8 hours, but there was no problem in it.
Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak could not afford the cost of making Apple-1. For this reason, Jobs sold his van and Wozniak his HP-65 calculator.
At the beginning, 200 units of this computer were built and it was a computer with no keyboard and no screen. It was just a motherboard that could be connected to a TV set. Wozniak told in an interview that "the price of this computer was kept at $ 666.66 and due to this, we had already earned 12 thousand dollars from the sale of the product".
Apple-1 auction was done in December 2014 in New York. At that time, Apple-1 was bought by a US man $ 36.5 million (about 22 million). This computer was placed in the auction of 50 rare computer categories of the world.
