Agartala Representative,Own Correspondent: The BJP has fielded candidates in 3,207 seats in the Gram Panchayat ahead of the upcoming Tripura Panchayat by-elections. The CPI (M) has given 115 seats in the by-elections. Congress has won 120 seats. The IPF has given 63 seats. The candid candidate has given 6 seats. BJP has submitted nomination of 161 seats out of 161 seats of Panchayat Samity. The CPI (M) has given only eight seats.
Both the Congress and the IPF parties gave candidates in six seats. This was informed by the State Election Commission.
In addition, the Election Commission said 18 out of the 18 seats in the Zila Parishad seats were given by the BJP. The CPI (M) has given only one seat. The IPF and the Congress could not give any candidate.
