Income tax department has found evidence of manipulation in Jet Airways's balance sheet. The department took action on the airliners of Mumbai and Delhi offices on 19th and 20th September. According to the agency, the tax officials say that while returning the return, Jet reduced the profit and spent more.
Based on the two-day survey, the Income Tax Department is investigating financial irregularities and suspicious transactions. Agency sources say that the record of the airline's last 4 years is being scrutinized.
Giving details of the survey in regulatory filing on Friday, Jet said that officials are being assisted in the investigation. Jet quarter results were delayed. According to the income tax authorities, the survey was done due to the same.
