Major tassle brewed after BJP state president Dilip Ghosh attended a rally at Kanthi of Howrah District.
The incident took place on Monday afternoon when Ghosh entered the gathering organised by Kanthi district BJP council.
Vandalism to another level was witnessed as the agitators ransacked State President's car and several other motor vehicles of BJP supporters were vandalised.
Accusing Trinamool Congress Ghosh alleged, "They are incapable of handling political issues in republican manner so they are physically harming us now."
They meeting has been temporarily called off .
Denying the allegations the TMC leaders claimed that the entire incident was carried out by the people of religious division of the BJP by rigging the attack.
