Own corrospondent: Massive fire breaks out around 2:45am at Bagri Market in Kolkata. 30 fire stations are said to reach at the spot to douse the raging flames at crowded Canning Street.
Mayor Shovan Chattopadhyay reache dthe spot early in the morning for an overview. He said, "the fire broke out at 2:45am, we are doing our best." He mentioned that the 'congested area' is being a cause of concern for the fire fighters.
Thick black cloud engulfed the area leaving people of the area in great callousness. According to local sources, it took 5hours for fire engines to gain co tell over the blazing flames.
