After the success of Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2, Varun Dhawan will soon be teaming up with dad David Dhawan and this time, they will revive ‘No 1’ series. The Dhawans are now setting up their production house. The ‘No 1’ series film will be the first one to roll out of their banner. Now, as per a report in Super Cinema, Sara Ali Khan will star opposite Varun Dhawan in his brother Rohit Dhawan’s first production venture, which will be directed by David Dhawan. The film is being scripted currently and will go on floors in February next year, as per the report.
About the production venture, a source close to the family had informed Mumbai Mirror, “It’s a family banner that they plan to launch and is in the initial stages of planning. It will be headed by David and the first film will be a commercial action-comedy. Since their previous collaborations did well at the box office, the family felt it’s the right time for the venture. Varun’s films have been getting a good recovery on satellite and music rights, with the television premiere of Judwaa 2 setting new records. He’s one of the most saleable actors today and a big draw at the box office so it’s a win-win situation for the Dhawans.”
On the work front, Sara Ali Khan will debut with Ranveer Singh in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba. She has also wrapped up Kedarnath with Sushant Singh Rajput. On the other hand, Varun Dhawan is busy with Kalank and has signed a dance film with Katrina Kaif and Shashank Khaitan’s Rannbhoomi.
