Survey done by India’s top Election Strategist Prashant Kishor reveals that PM Narendra Modi is the most popular leader!

Most favourite leader, a noble politician, most admired personality and many more tags to add on. Every possible survey conducted after the year 2014 has come down to the conclusion having PM Narendra Modi on top the list. People have chosen him over the other opponents in every manner.
Yet again a survey conducted by the advocacy group helmed by popular political strategist Prashant Kishor has revealed that PM Narendra Modi is the most popular leader currently.
Almost 48% of the over 57 lakh respondents from 712 districts voted PM Modi as the leader who could take the “agenda of the nation” forward, as per the survey by the group, Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC).
According to India Today, I-PAC had launched an online platform, called National Agenda Forum, in July where people could vote for the leader they believe should win in the Lok Sabha elections 2019. Around 923 leaders had been nominated for the survey under this online platform.
The youth volunteers of the organisation would now meet the chosen leader in September or October. The agenda would then be taken to the entire nation, before it is adopted as part of the party manifesto in January 2019 for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The survey also lists 10 non-political personalities nominated by the people to join politics. Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Anna Hazare top this list.
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and BSP chief Mayawati were nominated in the list along with Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, CMP general secretary Sitaram Yechury, NCP leader Sharad Pawar, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar – with whom Kishor had worked closely for the state Assembly polls and several other national and regional leaders.
The respondents were also asked to rate the issues that they believed are the top priority issues in the country. As per the survey, respondents believe that women’s empowerment, farm crisis, economic inequality, education in health and hygiene, problems of students, communal unity and basic education were crucial issues in the country.
The survey was released just a day before and is similar to the one that the Citizens for Accountable Governance, also helmed by Kishore, was released in 2013 which had projected PM Modi as the most favoured leader in the country.
PM Modi remains by far the most popular national figure in Indian politics tested in the survey. Young Indians aged between 18-29 showed the greater intensity of support for the PM than those aged 50 and over. The Positive assessment of PM is buoyed by growing contentment with the Indian Economy.

Prashant Kishor, was one of the most important people in PM Modi’s team driving strategies for months before 2014 elections. He quit a UN health expert’s job in Africa in 2011 and returned to India to form a group of young professionals who devised the strategy to project Modi as the face of good governance in the 2012 Gujarat polls and last year’s general elections with resounding success.
Kishor had brought together a group of graduates from India’s premier institutes and multinational companies to work on Modi’s 2014 election campaign under the name ‘Citizens for Accountable Governance’. He dissolved CAG a few months after the elections.
