The health centre at Bhutni in Malda is on its way to become a role model infront of the entire world.

The Bhootni health centre with the support of the UNICEF is on its way to become a role model in the global arena. On Tuesday morning this health at  centre Bhootnichor, one of the most remotest and scarcely inhabited area was visited by officers of the UNICEF. How did this establishment scorch the hieghts of success from working in such a remote place was the only question for whom the UNICEF visited the place seeking the answer. They later informed that they wanted the success story of Bhootni's health centre situated at Manikchak to spread accross the globe in order for it to become a role model.

Bhootchor under the Manikchak block in Malda is an area surrounded by the Ganges and Fulhar rivers. They place is has its population around a lac. Even if there was labour pain the people had to cross the river after plying through the roads in order to reach the Manikchak Village hospital. As a result women would often deliver on their way. Death has also been grasped men like this. After considering these problems, authorities established the Bhootni health centre in November last year. The facility has a capacity of 10 beds. Two residential doctors and nurses were also appointed along with other health workers. An operation thetre was constructed in the health centre. After that the authorities went to every house hold and imparted knowledge about the delivery facilities of the health centre. The results were also instant. At present  more than 100 deliveries  take place every month over there as said by the health department. The success of Bhootini's health centre also cathched the eye of the UNICEF. The UNICEF delegation has the chief justice of the West Bengal branch and Suresh Thakur, the chief of the Bhutani Health Center.
The chief health officer of the district, Dilip Kumar Mandal, Manikchak Block Health Officer Jaydeep Majumdar and the Health Department officials were part of UNICEF's team. After visiting the health centre they said, the UNICEF wanted to spread the success story of Bhootni's health centre around the world. They examined all the issues of institutional delivery there. Besides doctors, health workers, they also spoke with villagers. They are overwhelmed by everything. Due to their teamwork they could make the impossible possible.They will send the report of Bhutoni Health Center to UNICEF headquarters in New York.
