Four police officers were killed and 11 injured in Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh. Two officers and two constables of District Reserve Guard were killed in the incident.
On Wednesday (Wednesday), in a forest area in Chhattisgarh's Narayenpura District, the casualties were caused in a gunfight between the two groups when they launched an operation against Naxals.
A source in the media said that the police personnel were seriously injured when Maoists fired heavily with the Improvised Device explosion at the clash. Later, a special team of security forces left for the scene. The injured were taken to Raipur for treatment with helicopter. The injured 7 people were injured in the arms, legs and waist.
State police chief's demand for Naxalite operations has claimed that several Maoists were killed in the clash. Their companions took away the bodies of the dead.
Highly-known officials of IG and DIG, including the Maoists and police special forces, have left for the incident to know about the casualties. This is the biggest clash in Chhattisgarh over the past few months.
After April-May, there was no special loss of police. But today's event seems to be a 'big push' for the police.
