Own correspondent: Rhapsode Bratati Bandhopadhyay and her brother Biswajit Bandhopadhyay have been harassed by the bouncers of a private money lending organisation, near Chandipur, Delhi Road. Mr. Biswajit has filed a complaint at the Serampore Police Station.
They were going to attend the recital workshop in a private school near Khadinamore, Chinshura today. Suddenly a car near chandipur pulled over the front of their car and blocked their way. Seven to eight bouncers came down from that car, introduced themselves as a private finance company's employees. They claimed that the car Bratati Bandhopadhyay is using, have its EMI pending so they came to take away the car. In return she asked them to take step according to the law. But Bratati complained that the company's bouncers took possession of the car without taking her words. Then after dropping Bratati and her brother in Chinshura, the bouncers placed the car in a parking lot. Then Bratati phoned Kalyan Bandhopadhyay, the MP of Sreerampore. The MP ordered the police to look into the matter. Police brought the car from the parking lot to Sreerampore Police Station. After this incident, Biswajit Bandhopadhyay logged a complaint in the Serampore Police Station.
