Reviving memories of demonetisation
Near around 11 states in the country are facing the scarcity of cash. ATMs are running out of enough cash in cities like Delhi, Varanasi etc, which has created a huge rush in the country. And CM Mamata Banerjee has left no time to raise question on this regard. She in her tweet asks of whether there is any financial emergency being operated in the country. Many cities of Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh are unable to withdraw sufficient money from the ATM. According to the RBI, withdrawal of more than usual amount of cash in many cities have generated this crisis.
Minister of State for Finance, S P Shukla informed that government have Rs.1,25,000 crore in its reserve. State based committees have been built by the Govt to monitor this issue. Committee on behalf of the RBI has also been formed. The situation will be taken care of within three days, assures Shukla. CM Banerjee thus strongly criticised this issue in her tweet stating it as revival of demonetisation's memory.
