Salman khan proved guilty of blackbuck poaching case
Bollywood actor Salman Khan being convicted in a blackbuck poaching case by a court in Jodhpur. The co-accused, actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam, and Jodhpur resident Dushyant Singh have been given the benefit of doubt and acquitted as the evidence against them was not strong enough. Sentence against Salman Khan has not yet been declared. According to some sources, Salman has appealed in the sessions court for bail. Although the court is thinking over this case, usually the sentence for this type of cases can be up to three years or more.
After nearly 20 years, the Jodhpur Court has finally declared the verdict on this blackbuck poaching case. The verdict has been announced on Thursday. Five accused actors Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Tabbu, Nilam and Sonali Bendre had reached Jodhpur on Wednesday. The court have given the verdict on Thursday at 11am. Salman Khan has been convicted under Section 9 and 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act. The charge against the other actors was under Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the IPC. Their acquittal means the court has accepted that there is no sufficient evidence to prove this.
