BJP looses one candidate to TMC
Earlier a CPM candidate in Kanksa, West Burdwan, volunteered to campaign for the Trinomool Party. He said that Mamta Bandyopadhyay's government has developed this area a lot. Now the same has repeated in Malda. BJP candidate of Baharal, Malda joined Trinamool. Baharal Gram Panchayat's candidate of Ratua block in Malda, Payal Ghosh left BJP, and enrolled in trinomool's camp. Holding the flag of the Trinomool, she said that she was joining the TMC to join hands in the development work of the state with Mamta Bandyopadhyay.
She said that she was misquoted to join as a BJP candidate and now she willingly joined the TMC. However, the BJP leaders complained that people of Bengal can see that there is no truth behind this voluntary joining. The manner in which the nomination has been made, the way the candidates have been forced to withdraw their nominations, now the BJP candidates are being drawn towards the TMC's side. Earlier, in Birbhum, a BJP candidate had left its party to join TMC with his whole gang which resulted in zero opponents in the council. Now it has given a potential blow when vote is knocking at the door, by altering the BJP candidate in Malda.
