Breaking: BJP leading in Karnataka; Mr Siddaramaiah trailing by over 8000 votes in Chamundeshwari


The counting in Karnataka has already begun and what is surprising is that the Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is trailing in Chamundeshwari constituency with a margin of over 8000 votes. The JD (S) candidate GT Devegowda has succeeded in suppressing the Mr Siddaramaiah.
Highlights:
  • The initial trend suggests that BJP is leading with 79 seats but Congress in 73 seats and JD (S) in 25 seats.
  • Even though Mr Siddaramaiah is trailing in Chamundeshwari, he is leading in Badami.
  • BJP is leading in coastal Karnataka in 10 seats
  • Even in Mumbai-Karnataka, BJP is leading
  • BJP is leading in Hyderabad-Karnataka in 10 seats whereas Congress in 8 and JD (S) in 5 seats only
The political analysts have said that the trend will be clear in at around 9:30 AM. Siddaramaiah’s son Yatheendra is contesting from Varuna and while asking whether the Congress would join hands with Congress, he said  “Senior party leaders will decide on this, but we are confident and hope to form Government on our own”.
