Bhartiya Janta Party government losing Uttar Pradesh bypolls for the Lok Sabha seat of Phulpur and Gorakhpur and its on going tussle with its alliance parties such as TDP disassociating itself from NDA and raising no-confidence motion against the central government in parliament has raised questions on BJP’s win in 2019. Many political experts are of the view that coalition of different parties will also not be fruitful for Bhartiya Janta Party in upcoming elections.
But ripping all of these apart Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again proved that this is not going to happen. He is going to rule India not only in 2019 but till 2029 he will serve as “Pradhansewak” of India.
Prime Minister Modi has made a stupendous entry in the Bloomberg survey of forecasting the longevity of existing important world leaders. The survey picked 16 countries and analyzed how long their leaders might hold off the palace coups, election defeats or waning powers that end political careers. The survey ranked the leaders on their domestic muscle to see whether they are likely to be shaping events, or shaped by them. The leaders were chosen on the basis of how better they could handle when it comes to tackling long-term global challenges such as climate change, poverty or peacemaking.
The survey revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi dominates India’s political landscape and is widely predicted to win the next national election in 2019. With five-year terms, that means he could rule over his country’s 1.3 billion people until at least 2024 and may further rule even until 2029.It also stated that Prime Minister Modi is by far the most popular Indian politician. The opposition Congress Party is weak and lacks a charismatic leader, while regional rivals are vulnerable to the BJP’s formidable election machine.
Commenting on Modi government policies it stated that PM Modi party’s policies, even when economically disruptive, are still popular with the masses. The survey also indicated that although PM Modi lacks the upper-house majority necessary for big structural reforms, Modi’s Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party has proven its popularity, winning numerous state-level elections since he came to power in 2014.
Undoubtedly, the party has not proved this once but many times. From ruling in 5 states prior to 2014 it climbed the ladder and reached upto 22 states. The victory of BJP in the northeast and that also with a significant increase in vote-share is signalling that there is no threat to BJP in upcoming elections.
The Bloomberg survey has arrived at an accurate time and shut the mouth of all the political experts, media and people who was questioning BJP government and emphasizing on the power of strong opposition against Modi government. The survey has clearly indicated PM Modi comeback in 2019 and beyond, that also without any difficulties or obstructions.
Bloomberg Survey has made it very loud and clear what the nation wants. The survey report is exactly matching the expectations of nation. The voice of nation right now clearly is that they want Prime Minister Modi as their PM for successive terms for the betterment and development of nation and cleaning the rut spread by the Congress party.
