Pakistan has started campaigning in favor of the Congress party in Karnataka using Tipu Sultan?

Karnataka election is just days away and what is called as a shocker, the Pakistan government has started campaigning for the Congress party, according to the BJP leaders. In an absolute lunatic act, the Pakistan government has issued a statement saying,

• “Revisiting an important & influential historical figure, Tiger of Mysore – Tipu Sultan on his death anniversary. Right from his early years, he was trained in the art of warfare & had a fascination for learning”.
• Along with the tweet, Pakistan Government had put out an info-graphics that consisted captions, 
  • He was a ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore and the eldest son of Sultan Hyder Ali of Mysore.
  • His personal library consisted of more than 2,000 books in different languages.
  • The peak of Mysore’s economic power was under Tipu Sultan.
  The info-graphics also claimed that Tipu Sultan had introduced several reforms like,
  • A number of administrative innovations including his coinage.
  • New Mauludi lunisolar calendar.
  • Land revenue system which initiated the growth of the Mysore silk industry.
  It should also be noted that the info-graphic was listed under a category “Revisiting Historical Figure”.
  This forced the BJP leaders to claim that Pakistan is working in favor of the Congress party ahead of the Karnataka election. Tipu Sultan, who is a controversial figure associated with the Karnataka state. The BJP leaders were quick enough in questioning the Congress party as its leader GVL Narasimha Rao said,
  • It’s so curious coming at a time when the Congress party is also celebrating the same historical figure who is identified by many as a murderer of many sections of south Indians. And now, Pakistan celebrating him sounds like a signal to the people of India or a community that this individual represents a religion because there is no connection between Pakistan and Tipu Sultan except religion.
  Whereas Maj Gaurav Arya (Retd) said that “This is a mischief by Pakistan before Karnataka Elections, they do not care about Tipu Sultan”.
  Tweet from Pakistan comes days after Rahul Gandhi praise Tipu Sultan in Karnataka!The Barcoor Manuscript reports Tipu Sultan as having said, “All Musalmans should unite together, and considering the annihilation of infidels as a sacred duty, labour to the utmost of their power, to accomplish that subject”. 
  In a letter sent to the Governor of Bekal (near Kasaragod), Budruz Zuman Khan on 19 January 1790, Tipu Sultan said “Don’t you know I have achieved a great victory recently in Malabar and over four lakh Hindus were converted to Islam? I am determined to march against that cursed Raman Nair (Rajah of Travancore) very soon. Since I am overjoyed at the prospect of converting him and his subjects to Islam, I have happily abandoned the idea of going back to Srirangapatanam now”.
  Even though there was clear evidence that Tipu Sultan was a communal leader, Rahul Gandhi said on March 2018 that “Tipu Sultan was a symbol of communal harmony” and now Pakistan is dancing to the tune of Rahul Gandhi.Pakistan had also made a series of statement on Tipu Sultan in the form of a video that said “Tipu Sultan was the ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore. He has been lionized as a first freedom fighter because of his steadfast resistance against the British colonialism. On the occasion of #TipuSultan’s 219th death anniversary. Let’s have a look at some aspects of his life”.
  The video which is filled with lies also says that “Tipu Sultan ensured the right of minorities. At the request of the French, he built a church, the first in Mysore”.
  The twitter handle of Karnataka BJP mocked the Karnataka CM by saying “CM Sir, Pakistan is celebrating your hero’s death anniversary. Your Pakistani friends have even made a video tribute to him. You haven’t even tweeted about him today. The Govt of Pakistan may even question your ‘secular’ credentials. So without further delay, please wish Tipu”.
