Maharashtra's Vivandi Court has framed charge against Congress President Rahul Gandhi in defamation suit in RSS. Charges were framed against him under sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code. The next hearing of the case on 10 August.
Rahul Gandhii said in an election rally on March 6, 2014, "RSS men have killed Mahatma Gandhi." RSS activist Rajesh Kuntay sued Rahul Gandhi against his remarks. Rahul challenged the case and appealed to the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court in July, 2016, should not condemn such an organization in such a way. If he does not correct the mistake, then he will face trial. In September 2016, Rahul said that he was ready to face the case. In January of 2010, the Vivandi court ordered Rahul to appear before the court on April 23. He did not attend that day. Then, on the order of the court, Vivandi's magistrate appeared before the court.
