At least 16 people were killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway in Palashbari upazila of Gaibandha on Saturday morning. At least 40 people were injured. The accident happened in Bansakata (Garurhat) area near Brac Border of the upazila. It is feared that the number of deaths may increase further. Police, highway police and fire service recovered the body and took it to Gobindaganj Highway Police Station.
