Forest minister Benoykrishna Barman banned plastic in every park under the forest department. He announced this at the World Environment Day program in Salt Lake Central Park.
The minister said that every park under the forest department was banned from entering the plastic. Besides, the shops will also be asked to not use plastic in the shops located in front of the park on the Wildlife Office.
Chief Secretary of the forest department Chandan Sinha was also present in the meeting. Apart from the Forest Minister, other officials of the PCCF and the Chief of Forests and Naxal forces NK Pandey were also present.
