If seven lakh Rohingyas who are fleeing to Bangladesh willingly want to return, then they are ready to return everyone to Myanmar. The country's National Security Advisor Thong Tun commented on Saturday.
The National Advisor of Myanmar took part in the Shangri-La dialogue in the regional security conference in Singapore. In the dialogue, he was asked, Can the United Nations Security Accountability Framework (RTI) be introduced in the circumstances of Myanmar's Rakhine state?
The so-called Rutipe Framework was adopted in the United Nations World Conference of 2005. Under this framework, it is agreed to provide mutual encouragement and support to protect the people of their country from genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity and to support this commitment.
Responding to that question, the National Security Adviser of Myanmar said, "If we are willing to return seven hundred thousand Rohingya voluntarily, we will accept them." Can it be called ethnic killings? '
There is no war in Rakhine, so it is not a war crime. It can be considered as a crime against humanity. But we need clear evidence for this. The serious allegation should be proved and should not be taken lightly.
London-based international human rights organization Amnesty International says that around 7.5 million Rohingyas flee to the country's raid in Myanmar's northern Rakhine, on August 25 last year. Most of them are children and women.
International charity Doctors Without Borders says that at least 9,400 Rohingyas have been killed in Rakhine from 25 August to 24 September. Of these, only 6,700 people (71.7 percent of the dead) died due to violence. Among the dead, there are 730 children; Those who are under 5 years of age
The United Nations has said that the Myanmar military campaign against 'Rohingya' is a 'textual example' in racial segregation. But the country has denied the allegations since the beginning of the operation.
In the next two years, the two countries reached the consensus on January to end the voluntary repatriation process of Rohingya. But that process still stops. Meanwhile, the United Nations has signed an agreement with Myanmar on Thursday to revive the Rohingyas who have taken refuge in Bangladesh, voluntarily and safely.
The United Nations has said that they will set up a separate investigation commission to know whether human rights abusers have occurred during Myanmar's military campaign in Rakhine. Myanmar army starts raids on Rohingya insurgents in Rakhine's insurgency checkpoint
Thong Tun said, 'There is a distorted and incomplete description of what happened in Rakhine. But Myanmar does not deny the humanitarian crisis that Rakhine has created in the north. "
'The victim of the victim of Rakhine Muslim community can not be denied. Rakhain Buddhists, Hindus and other ethnic minorities are also not suffering from it there. '
He said the army has the right to defend the country. If investigation is found in the investigation, they will be taken, then action will be taken.
