On April 22 this year, a IAS officer from Jammu Kashmir called Shah Faesal had tweeted abusing India and called it Rapistan. His tweet had triggered massive criticism for demeaning the country being in government service. After his tweet went viral, the DoPT had initiated action against him. This man is presently in US for some studies under Fulbright scholarship. The Fulbright scholarship is sponsored by the Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs of the US Department of State, i.e. directly by the United States government. According to his twitter account he calls himself Mason Fellow at Harvard University.
So, this man is happily enjoying the US comforts and mocking India. But he fails to highlight is in 2012, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime of the United States had reported rate of rape in US was stated as being 15 times higher than that of India. Additionally, a US-based NGO called RAINN confirmed that every 98 seconds a woman was sexually assaulted in the US. (Republic TV)
So, the big question is does he also dare to call United States also Rapistan or is his comment restricted only to malign India on international platform. These people take money from international agencies most probably to mock India and destroy the credibility of the country with fake propaganda. The government should show no mercy to such people and revoke his passport for his malicious propaganda against India. Let him stay in US and take benefits from his bosses!
