Kareena Kapoor Khan has proved once again that she is the ultimate diva of the B-Town. With her recent film Veere Di Wedding which performed extremely well at the box office, Kareena has established the fact that nothing can stop her.
A few months ago, there were reports that Kareena has been approached to star alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the upcoming biopic Salute, in which the latter will play the lead role. Salute is based on the life of Rakesh Sharma, who was the first Indian to travel in space. When asked about it, Bebo had told the media, "Whatever film I choose I will let everyone know, but at the right time.”
Now, it seems like the right time has come to make the official announcement of Bebo's role in the film. As per reports in TNN, not only Kareena has agreed to the film, but she will also apparently sign the dotted lines for Salute this week. If these reports indeed come true, then Kareena and Shah Rukh will be sharing the screen again after a gap of seven long years. The duo was last seen in Ra.One, where they had played a married couple.
If reports are to be believed, Kareena will be essaying the role of Madhu, who is an interior designer by profession, and the wife of astronaut Rakesh Sharma (played by Shah Rukh Khan). Once the dates, remuneration, and other important aspects of the film get finalised, the makers will make an official announcement about the same.
Salute is expected to go on floors by the end of this year.
Recently, there were reports of Kareena being finalized for Karan Johar’s next opposite Akshay Kumar. Reportedly, the movie revolves around the life of a couple which will be played by Kareena and Akshay.
