Biggest Surgical strike on Naxals! Will this be a turning point in 2019 General Elections?

In April, the Pune police along with ATS Maharashtra had conducted massive raids in Maharashtra in connection with the Bhima Koregaon violence. The Bhima Koregaon violence which happened sometime in January resulted in massive destruction and death of few people. It was well planned attack to divide society in the name of dalit politics by few vested interest groups.
The pseudo dalit activist like Jignesh Mevani and azadi gang leader Umar Khalid played a key role in fanning the violence during the Bhima Koregaon celebrations. The investigation showed that these people got financial and legal aid from the same political parties which are today defending them. The Pune police arrested 5 Urbal naxals who were linked t the Bhima Koregaon violence where they recovered shocking details about a plan to execute Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a similar way Rajiv Gandhi was killed.
The 5 people who were arrested were members of Elgaar Parishad, Sudhir Dhawale, leader of Mumbai-based Republican Panthers Jati Antachi Chalwal (RP); Delhi-based activist Rona Wilson of Committee for Release of Political Prisoners (CRPP); Nagpur lawyer Surendra Gadling of Indian Association of People’s Lawyers (IAPL); Nagpur University professor Shoma Sen; and Mahesh Raut, a former Prime Minister’s Rural Development (PMRD) Fellow.
But now, the Pune police who have gone ahead with the case have conducted multiple raids in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Goa and Ranchi where they have arrested more Maoist sympathizers in connection with the assassination plot of Prime Minister Modi.
Varavara Rao from Hyderabad was arrested today morning. Varavara Rao is a self proclaimed revolutionary writer who is well known for his anti India writings. Special teams of Pune police, also raided the flat of a senior journalist K.V. Kurmanath and T. Kranthi, a photographer in Hyderabad. Mr. Kurmanath is Mr. Rao’s son-in-law.
Journalist and civil rights activist Gautam Navlakha was taken into custody in New Delhi after objectionable materials were found in his house.
Arun Ferreira, a political activist, cartoonist, and alumnus of St Xavier’s college Mumbai. was also arrested in connection with the assassination plot of PM. Farreira, was also arrested in 2007 from his home by the Maharashtra ATS and remained in prison till 2011. He faced charges of sedition under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). However, the charges were scrapped in 2014, according to The Indian Express. But he was again arrested in 2011 in connection with Naxal attack that happened in 2007.

Human rights advocate Sudha Bharadwaj was also arrested from her home where they recovered letters pertaining to Bhima Koregaon violence which showed her alleged involvement in provoking riots. According to the panchama, Bharadwaj has been charged under Sections 153a, 505, 117 and 120 of the IPC and several sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Stan Swamy, another maoist sympathizer was arrested from Ranchi. Amol V Homkar, DIG, Ranchi police said “Some literature of objectionable nature has been seized by team of Pune Police during a raid at Father Stan Swamy’s residence in Ranchi, today morning. The police confiscated 21 CDs, 2 SIM cards, a laptop, camera, a list of tribal freedom fighters from Jharkhand and a press release about the Khunti gang rape case during the raid.
Stan Swamy is a tribal rights activist who has been a supporter of the pathalgadi movement in Jharkhand since it’s inception. Swamy and 20 others, including former Congress MLA from Kolebira, Simdega district of Jharkhand, were booked by Khunti police on 30 July for sedition under sections 121, 121A and 124A of the IPC and Sections 66A and 66F of the IT Act. First Post Report

Vernon Gonsalves house in Mumbai was also raided in the morning. The police seized many documents which showed his connection with naxals. Gonsalves is a former professor of business organization at a prominent Mumbai college. He was previously arrested in 2007 and served jail term upto 2013. But he was arrested by Maharashtra ATS in 2017 and convicted under various sections of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Arms Act by Mumbai court.
