Who is Arundhati Roy, why is she speaking against India?

Suzanna Arundhati Roy is a name quiet familiar among book readers. She has written many books, some of which become popular.
She was born in Shillong, Meghalaya. Her father was Rajib Roy and mother was Mary Roy, a Malayali Syrian Christian women’s rights activist from Kerala.  But due to extreme rebellion attitude of her mother, her parents divorced and she moved with her mother and brother to Kerala. Her education was completed in Corpus Christi, Kottayam,  Lawrence School, Lovedale and finally finished the course in Architecture in Delhi. She had fallen in love with a man called Gerard da Cunha who was also an architect. They lived together for few months in Goa and Delhi before they broke up. The man is a big shot in architecture world.
Roy who is the cousin of NDTV owner Prannoy Roy obtained position with the National Institute of Urban Affairs. Later she married a film maker called Pradip Krishen and acted in one of his films also. But few years later she broke up with him as well.
But later her book God of Small Things won her the Man Booker award of 1997. But since then she completely changed her course of interest. The lady who described herself an author, became a human rights activist full time. She became the spokesperson of many global organization which focused on halting developmental works in India and other developing countries.
She herself declared that she was against India’s policies towards nuclear weapons, industrialization and economic growth (which she describes as “encrypted with genocidal potential” in Listening to Grasshoppers: Field Notes on Democracy).
This is exactly what the Americans and foreign funded NGOs wanted. She wanted all developmental activities to be stopped in India and was dead against Industrialization concept which would create millions of job opportunities.
She started literally opposing every developmental projects in India calling it imperialist and against poor. She opposed the Indian Nuclear program and nuclear weapons development and claimed it to be used against the tribals of Mizoram and Nagaland. Her fake propaganda was highlighted by the western agency and opposed the government’s testing of nuclear weapons in Pokhran, Rajasthan during Vajpayees’ government.
She opposed the Narmada dam project claiming that 50,000 villagers will be homeless. Along with Madha Patkar, she invoked protest against Narmada dam which was meant to benefit millions of people across Gujarat. The investigations revealed that Medha Patkar NGO and Arundhati Roy had received over 500 crores from foreign agencies to stop the project. The money was said to be taken for rehabilitation of affected people but reports showed there was no record of money spent on rehabilitation.
Arundhati Roy had questioned the contempt notice served by the Supreme Court of India for spreading fake and falsified information against India. She refused to apologise or pay fine initially, for which she was arrested for a day. But later fearing jail term of 3 months she paid a fine of Rs 2500 and apologized to the court.
She strongly opposed the death sentence to Afzal Guru who was convicted in the 2001 Parliament blast case. She said the courts should not convict based on circumstantial evidence. She defended Pakistan in 26/11 Mumbai attack saying we must not blame Pakistan but we must understand in the context of wider issues in the region’s history and society such as widespread poverty, the Partition of India (“Britain’s final, parting kick to us”), the atrocities against Muslims, and the ongoing Kashmir conflict. She had directly claimed that Mumbai is not a part of India and should belong to Pakistan!
In 2008, she joined hands with Pak sponsored terrorists and organized a massive protest to free Kashmir from India. She lead a rally along with 500,000 separatists in Srinagar demanding  independence from India on 18 August 2008.
In November 2010, Roy, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, and five others were brought up on charges of sedition by the Delhi Police. She had organized a conference  on “Azadi-the Only Way” on 21 October 2010, following this incident, an FIR was filed against her and separatists for inciting violence and raging war against India. She openly claimed that “Kashmir has never been an integral part of India”.
The fact is, she is not doing these anti National activities without reason. She is being paid heavily to destabilize the Indian democracy from within in the name of Human rights activists. She wants the Indian economy to fail which is the main agenda of western sponsored agencies.
They never want the Kashmir issue to be solved, but wants the violence to continue and people to suffer. The ISI is the main agency which is funding all the anti National lobby in India to keep them alive and active. It is an open secret that how left parties have supported naxals and Maoists to use them for their political games.
These people are not concerned about tribals, or poor people, their main aim is to utilize these people for their anti Nationals activities.
