In just four days, 5,66,187 crore rupees from the investors of Dalal Street went down.
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) index, Sensex, fell by 1,249 points, or 3.28 percent, in four sessions from Monday to Friday. Only on Friday, the market capitalization of the listed companies (market capitalization) decreased by 2,2,433.26 crore.
After a fall of 1,128 points in a few minutes, it closed at a loss of 279.62 points, i.e. 0.75 percent, to 36,841.60. By then, 13 out of 31 stocks remained in green mark. Similarly, the Nifty lost 368 points in the 50-day trading, and closed at 11,143.10, with 91.25 points, or 0.81 per cent weakness. In Nifty 50 shares, with 23 advances, 27 were closed in red mark.
The Sensex and Nifty fell for the fourth consecutive day on Friday. In the last four sessions, the Sensex fell by 1,249 points, or 3.28 percent, and the Nifty also dropped 372 or 3.23 percent.
