Amit Shah has tweeted that ailing Manohar Parrikar will continue to be the Chief Minister of Goa

BJP president Amit Shah has tweeted that ailing Manohar Parrikar will continue to be the Chief Minister of Goa. However, he said that changes in the cabinet will be made soon
The move is expected to stop speculations in Goa politics and bring some political stability in the state. Parrikar is currently under treatment for pancreatic ailment in New Delhi AIIMS hospital.
Parrikar, suffering from pancreatic ailment, has been in and out of hospitals in Goa, Mumbai, New York and now Delhi since February, when his illness was diagnosed. Earlier this week, Congress, which is also the single-largest party with 16 assembly seats is trying to grab the opportunity to stake claim to power for the forth time.
Ally Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) led the show of discontent earlier last week demanding that it was "high time" the chief minister handed over charges to the senior most minister during his absence in the state.

Shah had recently sent a central party leaders team to Goa to speak to allies and take stock of the political situation. The BJP has asserted that its government continues to have the support of a majority of MLAs.
