The average income of the male legislators is more than twice the number of women legislators. It has also been found in the study that the MLAs who have declared themselves as illiterate have an average annual income of Rs 9.31 lakh. About half of the total legislators have declared their business as agriculture or business. At the same time, the average annual income of 614 MLAs in eastern region has been Rs 8.53 lakh. According to the state-wise study, Karnataka's average annual income of 203 MLAs is highest of 111.4 lakh rupees. After this, the average income of MLAs of Maharashtra has been 43.4 lakh rupees. In it, 256 MLAs of Maharashtra were analyzed. Of the 63 MLAs in Chhattisgarh, their own income was analyzed, which is the lowest of Rs 5.4 lakh in the country. After this, the income of MLAs of Jharkhand has registered a little over 7.4 lakhs.
In the study, 771 legislators, ie 25 percent, have declared their occupation business, business while 758 ie 24 percent have described farming as their occupation. Only one percent of the legislators in real estate and film production or acting have declared their profession. However, in the case of earnings it is in the highest category.
