Wife of Mahatma Gandhi was Kasturba Gandhi. Gandhiji was married to Kasturbai (Kasturba) Gandhi in 1883 when he was 13 years old and his wife Kasturba was 14 years old. She is also known as ‘Ba’. In those days, child marriages were common. Kasturba stood by Gandhiji all her life and took part in the freedom struggle. She even went to jail with him few times. They loved each other immensely.

Kasturba Gandhi spent her final days at Aga Khan Palace in Poona, where she and Mahatma Gandhi were house arrested by the British government.She passed away on 22 February 1944. Gandhiji stayed beside her in her final moments.

Rajmohan Gandhi is the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi. He is a historian and a biographer. In 2002 he received the Sahitya Akademi Award for his ‘Rajaji: A Life, a biography of Chakravarti Rajagopalachari’. He briefly joined the AamAdami Party of Arvind Kejriwal but later left due to the difference of opinion with other leaders. He has also been a member of RajyaSabah. Rajmohan Gandhi’s association with AAP(Aam Adami party) was controversial. As Aam Adami Party couldn’t live upto Gandhi’s & Anna Hazare’s expectations. Aam Adami party was found itself in corruptions and treason, hence Rajmohan Gandhi probably left Aam Adami party.

Ramchandra Gandhi (1937 – 2007) was an Indian philosopher. Ramchandra was the son of Devdas Gandhi (Mahatma Gandhi’s youngest son) and Lakshmi (daughter of Rajaji). Laxmi was like a adopted daughter of Gandhi ji, she was from the family of untouchables but gandhi kept her along with him and probably married her with Ramchandra Gandhi.

He is very active in spreading the message of Mahatma Gandhi. He can be seen in various events and activities related to Gandhi ji. But a few years ago he was into the middle of controversies when he tried to deal with a credit card company to use the image of Gandhiji on credit cards for commercial use. Many patriotic organizations condemned this act and asked him to withdraw.
