Meteorological department issues High Alert in Kullu , tourists asked to keep safe



Five people were killed in different incidents in Kullu, Kangra and Chamba districts due to torrential rains in Himachal Pradesh. Kullu district has been kept on high alert. An official of the Meteorological Department said that heavy to moderate rainfall was recorded in Rajasthan in the last 24 hours.
7 people died in 2 separate accidents in Jammu and Kashmir. The state has been expected to have heavy rains in the next 24 hours. Five persons of the same family, including 3 minors, died due to landslides in the state's Doda district, while 29 people stranded in a sudden flood in Kathua district were rescued. Doda and Jammu region have been continuously raining for the last two days.
"A total of 29 people, including six women and 10 children, were rescued from the various flood-hit areas in Kathua district," a police official said.
Meteorological Department has forecast rain on scattered places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Western Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh.
