Congress President Rahul Gandhi continued his protest against the Rafale deal. In addition he repeatedly demanded resignation of the Defence Minister Nirmala Sitaraman.
Attacking her Gandhi said that 'she has been tasked with defending corruption'.
Responding to a post by Hindustan Times , which reported that Sitaraman had spoken about the 'incapability' of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for the Rafale deal.
Gandhi said in his speech, "The RM (Rafale minister) is caught lying , and HAL Chief has proved it, her position is untenable , she must resign.'
Further he tweeted, "The former HAL chief, TS Raju, has nailed her [Sitharaman] lie, that HAL didn't have the capability to build the Rafale."
