Own correspondent: - A businessman was shot dead by the miscreants. Last night, the incident took place in Uttar Kusum area of Usti in South 24 Parganas district. The deceased was identified as Abdul Wadud Lashkar. Local residents said that Abdul was alone in his shop last night. At that time three or four people went to his shop to buy cigarettes and shot him on his head and chest.
Abdul died on the spot. After receiving the news, police from Usti Police station sent the body for the post-mortem. Usti Police Station Police has started investigating the incident. Police in the initial investigation estimates, Abdul has been killed because of some old dispute. State Minister for Minority Affairs Giasuddin Molla had gone to the spot. He has ordered the police to arrest the accused.
