Bombay High Court overruled rape case

Own correspondent: - The Bombay High Court's Goa branch recently acquitted a man convicted of rape. It is said that sexual relationship built from love relations will not be considered as rape. The court has dismissed the allegation and stated the woman's complaint as futile. The lower court had imposed seven years of imprisonment and fine of Rs.10 thousand for the accused. The allegation was that sexual intercourse was built with the woman with fake promise of marriage.

This young couple worked in the same casino and felt in love. In this incident of 2013, Jogesh Palekar had taken the woman to his house to introduce her to his family. But in the absence of the family members both of them got involved in sexual intercourse. After that they had involved in sexual intercourse for several more times. It is said that the woman agreed to have sexual relation as the man had promised of marrying her. But when the guy stepped back from his promise the women charged rape case against him. According to which the lower court had sentenced him of imprisonment. The High Court has dismissed this verdict and overruled the case.
