Election announcement raised Maldah's temperature

Announcement of the Panchayat election have raised the pressure high over Maldah. Clash between two communities led to the death of a young man, Mizanur Rahman (26). This incident took place in Block no.1 Kaliachowk, Madrasa Para of Jalakandi village under Bamangram Mosimpore gram Panchayat, last night. Two people have been arrested. Mizanur, resident of Uttar para in Jalakandi village, was a decorator by profession. Around 11'0 clock at night he was returning home yesterday after finishing decoration of a wedding pandal. By that time in the Madrasa para a council was being held by the TMC to select a candidate for Gram Panchayat's nomination. And a conflict rose among the party members. Mizanur stopped there to see what's happening. Some members of the ruling party started firing and a bullet hit by Mizanur's head.

Mizanur's family claimed he became prey of the group conflict. He was the only earner in the family. Police have arrested two people named Sukratul Alam and Masibar Ali. Police have been deployed in the area due to rise in tension. Trinamool chairman of this district Moazzem Hossain has said that TMC is not involved in this incident rather the meeting in that area last night ended peacefully. But at the end of the meeting some local miscreants started firing there there. They are not party members, they were some drunken people who scares people and snatches their money.
