Supreme court overruled BJP's plea on Panchayat poll
The Supreme Court judge RK Agarwal on Monday rejected the appeal of BJP on Panchayat election saying in the 7 page notice that the SC will not interfere in any matter of irregularities and rioting concerned with election. If there is any complaint of any candidate regarding lack of security or something like that, then the candidate will have to tell the matter directly to the Election Commission. The verdict of the Supreme Court has gone in favor of the state government lawyers and BJP again failed in their election tactics.
BJP had appealed to the Supreme Court against the state, complaining about ensuring the security of the candidates in the Panchayat polls, conduction of the Panchayat voting procedure under the surveillance of the central force etc. In the context of this petition, the apex court today declared this decision.
