It is a habit for many media to spread fake news against PM Modi and his government in order to gain blessings from their masters in political parties. The only reason they are fond of repeating their mistakes is because they are assured that Modi government unlike Congress would not go against media.
As the 2019 elections are fast approaching, PM Modi is holding talks to all beneficiaries of the different schemes started by his government in order to learn the ground reality of implementation. He held talks with Mudra, Jan Dhan, Ujjawala, Digital India and many other schemes which have changed the lives of thousands of people for good. Similarly he was holding talks with farmers of the country yesterday, where he was highlighting the achievements of the farmers and how they had benefited with various central schemes.
A farm lady from Chattishgarh called Chandramani Kaushik while speaking to PM Modi explained how her income had doubled in the recent years after she shifted from just paddy growing to fruit pulp processing. She said that while she depended on paddy cultivation, her financial situation was bad, but she took suggestions and help from few central government schemes made her take up pulp processing which helped her increase her income many times.
PM Modi has always emphasized on doubling the farmer’s income by 2022 which is being highlighted many times. PM Modi during his video call, explained the same to the people of the country which was totally misinterpreted by the media. The media spread a fake news that PM Modi used the lady’s statement to gain publicity by projecting a false story about her income getting doubled by growing paddy.
But in reality, the lady NEVER quoted that her income doubled by growing paddy, but it was doubled only after she started pulp processing. The channel had run a malicious campaign saying that “It is doubtful looking at the state of affairs that her income could be doubled from rice cultivation.”
When the news went viral, the entire social media exposed the dubious intentions of the channel which spread fake news about PM Modi and his interaction with the lady. As soon as the lady got the information, she issued a statement blasting the media for misinterpreting facts.
In the video she has said, “I had told the Prime Minister about doubling my income by processing the pulp of sitafal. They are talking about agriculture, but I had said that pulp processing led to doubling of my income. I had told the PM that earlier, while sitafal cultivation got us around Rs 50, after training we get double the amount by processing pulp. I was talking about pulp only and not rice.” (Courtesy: My Nation)
