Atish Singha: 20th July is very important for both of them. One is having her debut film release, while the other is having his first big break in mainstream film industry. They are Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar. This day released the Shashank Khaitan directed, the first film of the pair, 'DHADAK'.
Anandabazar has reported that this is their big test. On one hand, Janhvi is being compared with her illustrious mother, from her very first film. While on the other hand, Majid Majidi's 'Beyond the Cloud' debutant Ishan's performance in mainstream Bollywood is being minutely analysed.
The new star pair is being welcomed in Bollywood, but their acting talent is also being critically analysed in different anals of the industry.
Many had anticipated that Janhvi would be a step ahead in this fight with her co-star. Sridevi used to have long discussions with producer Karan Johar, from the very inception of the project. Not only Karan, many top stars were enthusiastic about Janhvi's debut. The screening was not much celebrated due to the untimely demise of her mother. Still, at the special Juhu screening, father Boney Kapoor, sister Khushi Kapoor, brother Arjun Kapoor, were very protective of Janhvi. The career of this star has started under the wrapping of sorrow and sympathy.
