No more worshiping Gandhi dynasty! Nehru statue removed in Allahabad for Kumbh ‘beautification drive’

Somewhat a similar act has struck the Congress Party right now! The statue of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was removed from Balsan Chauraha in Allahabad.Unlike the Dynasty, this statue of Nehru has been removed for a positive purpose and not for a reason anything the Opposition party or the Former Prime Minister. Authorities said that the statue has been removed in view of the beautification work that is being held in the city for the upcoming Kumbh Mela that is due to be held in January 2019.

However, like it always does Congress is known for its negativity and its protests over good reforms in the society. The Congress party members are enraged at the move and are calling it an insult to the former prime minister.

Joining hands along with the Samajwadi Party, the Congress workers staged a protest alleging that the statue has been removed intentionally. They stopped the crane and raised slogans against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Alleging that Nehru’s statue has been purposefully removed by the Uttar Pradesh CM’s Government, trying to do away with the ideologies of Nehru prevailing in India till date. However, the people of Uttar Pradesh have trust in their Chief Minister and believe that whatever he undertakes is for the well-being of the state.

They also questioned that if Nehru’s statue had to be removed for the beautification work, why has the statue of Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay, which is on the same road, not been touched. Much about the move is not known as the officials meanwhile chose to not give out details about it.

Well, it is true that the roads have to be broadened in view of the Kumbh Mela and Nehru’s statue was in the middle of the road and hence had to be removed.Nehru’s statue has been placed at a nearby park for the time being. We are yet to be informed of what is planned next by the CM Yogi’s Government regarding the preparation of Kumbh Mela.
